The Foellinger Foundation awards grants to nonprofit organizations that strengthen Allen County children and families, particularly those children and families with the greatest economic need and the least opportunity. It seeks impact in three primary categories:
- Early Childhood Development
Children receive developmental milestones; parents/providers engage in behaviors to support children's health and well-being.
- Youth Development
Youth/parents engage in behaviors that promote positive emotional development and facilitate a successful transition to adulthood.
- Family Development
Adults engage in behaviors that support themselves and their families moving from dependence to independence.
The Foundation expects every grantee to measure and report results and works hard to ensure that the level of reporting is appropriate for the size and scope of the grant.
The Foundation awards grants to Allen County nonprofit organizations that are exempt from paying federal taxes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and that are not private foundations. Please see our grant guidelines under What We Fund for further information.
