2026 Foellinger Foundation Annual Meeting
Our 2026 Annual Meeting will take place at Parkview Mirro Center on January 22, 2026. This signature gathering—highlighting the concept of Legacy & Beyond—will bring together grantees, community partners, and local leaders to reflect on the Foundation’s work, share accomplishments, and honor individuals whose leadership strengthens Allen County.
The nominees and recipients of the Leadership Awards will be recognized at this event. Lunch will be provided.

Foellinger Foundation is offering The Board Series—a three-part workshop experience designed to equip board and staff leaders with the tools and clarity they need to govern with confidence and purpose.
We’re inviting one staff member and one board member from our grantee partner organizations to join us for this interactive and highly practical learning series, led by Aly Sterling Philanthropy, a nationally recognized consulting firm that specializes in board governance and fundraising.

Neighborhood Conversation: An Evening with Seth Kaplan
Foellinger Foundation invites neighborhood and community leaders to attend Neighborhood Conversation: An Evening with Seth Kaplan at McMillen Family Pavilion at Franke Park.
Seth Kaplan, author of “Fragile Neighborhoods: Repairing American Society, One Zip Code at a Time,” will deliver a keynote address on the role the community plays in building and growing our neighborhoods. A panel discussion with key community leaders will follow the presentation. Dinner will be provided.

Key Trends in Philanthropy that Fuel Fundraising Success
Join this action-oriented half-day workshop to hear fundraising insights you can put to work immediately. This workshop is offered in partnership with Johnson, Grossnickle and Associates (JGA), a national consulting firm with 30 years of experience assisting area nonprofits. Topics include key trends in giving, the changing donor landscape, research on cause adoption and the path to giving, how to use artificial intelligence ethically, actionable use of data to increase fundraising capacity, and philanthropy in a time of uncertainty.

Measuring Program Outcomes with Survey Data
Foellinger Foundation invites program staff of grantee organizations to attend this two-hour outcome measurement workshop, led by Dr. Mindy King, founder of Limelight Analytics, LLC. Participants will learn how to identify opportunities for survey data collection, how to write questions to measure service-delivery and program outcomes, and strategies for survey distribution to maximize response rates.
Evaluation Plan Training: Youth Development Grants
This session is for organizations planning to submit a grant proposal for the Youth Development grant opportunity, with applications due on November 3, 2025.
Led by Dr. Mindy King, the workshop begins with an overview of the Independence Continuum and Guide to Program Outcomes. Participants will learn how data collection tools and measurement strategies affect the validity of outcome measures. We’ll also review Foellinger Foundation’s evaluation planning and reporting process, and provide detailed instructions on how to complete the Evaluation Plan required for grant applications.

Led by Dr. Mindy King, this session will cover outcome measurement, data collection strategies, and Foellinger Foundation’s evaluation requirements on June 26 or June 27 (9:00 AM – 11:00 AM).

The Foellinger Foundation invites program staff of grantee organizations to attend an outcome measurement workshop entitled, Measuring Program Outcomes with Survey Data, led by Mindy Hightower King, Ph.D., founder of Limelight Analytics, LLC. Participants will learn how to review and strengthen their current survey instruments, and how to identify and develop new survey scales and/or items with increased reliability and validity.

Nonprofit Megatrends Workshop
Following the Bobilya Award Luncheon, keynote speaker Suzanne Smith will lead the Nonprofit Megatrends Workshop. Suzanne is a social entrepreneur, professor, public speaker, and the founder and CEO of Social Impact Architects—a benefit corporation that shows organizations how to maximize the potential of the social sector. She authors the top-rated blog Social TrendSpotter, which offers resources and thought leadership that align the interests of nonprofit, business, and government professionals. Her writing has been featured in Forbes, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, Nonprofit Business Advisor, and other publications.
David A. Bobilya Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership Award Luncheon
The David A. Bobilya Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership Award recognizes the importance of individual board members in nonprofit organizations in four focus areas: governance, leadership, financial sustainability and program impact.
A $25,000 operating grant will be awarded to the recipient’s nominating organization.

One nonprofit staff member and one board member per organization are invited to learn from Tamela Spicer, Chief Changemaker and Principal at Intentional Catalyst, who will facilitate the workshop. This presentation will help nonprofit leaders understand their responsibilities and roles in ensuring adequate and sustainable revenue to support mission-related programming.
